Maureen Davis joined the firm of Edward C. Haight, PhD, PE, P.C. in 2000. In 2006, the company name was changed to Haight Davis & Associates, Inc., to signify the professional partnership between Ed Haight and Maureen Davis. She is currently the principal engineer of the firm, with Ed continuing to serve on a consultation basis.

Maureen’s forte is investigative and forensic engineering. More particularly, she specializes in the evaluation of construction defects, construction management, structural failure analysis, specifying repairs of defective buildings, water leakage of buildings, and litigation support in construction disputes.

Maureen was raised in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She is a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Army with extensive hands-on experience in construction engineering. Maureen graduated from North Carolina State University (NCSU) in Raleigh, NC in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Option. She returned to NCSU to obtain a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1998, specializing in construction management. For the next few years, she worked as a Project Manger and then as Manager of Project Controls for Williams Environmental Services, Inc., a Georgia-based company, managing construction projects in the Southeastern United States.

Wanting to focus more on building construction and technology, Maureen joined Ed Haight in 2000. She now manages the day-to-day operation of the firm as Principal Engineer. Her practical experience in construction management and acute attention to detail are assets to the company. Maureen is currently a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia. In addition, she is also a member of the Institute of Roofing and a member with the National Academy of Forensic Engineers.
