Maureen L. Davis, PE, joined the firm of Edward C. Haight, Ph.D., PE, P.C. in 2000, and is currently a co-principal in Haight Davis & Associates, Inc. Her specialties include evaluation of construction defects, construction management, structural failure analysis, specifying repairs of defective buildings, water leakage of buildings, and litigation support in construction disputes.

Maureen was born on September 3, 1963 and raised in Newburyport, Massachusetts. After living overseas for numerous years, Maureen joined the US Army in 1986, and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After being released from active duty, she attended North Carolina State University (NCSU) in Raleigh, NC, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Option. After another tour of duty as an Engineering officer in the US Army, stationed again at Fort Bragg, NC and Tuzla, Bosnia, Maureen returned to NCSU to obtain a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1998. For 2 1/2 years, she worked as a Project Manager and then as Manager of Project Controls for Williams Environmental Services, Inc., a Georgia-based company, managing construction projects in the Southeastern United States. Wanting to focus more on building construction and technology, Maureen joined Ed in 2000 and has become an integral part of the firm. Her practical experience in construction management and acute attention to detail are assets to the company. Maureen is currently a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia.

Maureen is married to Frank Davis of Corpus Christi, Texas and has 2 children, CJ and Chaison. She is actively involved in school, church and community affairs. In her limited free time, Maureen enjoys camping and hiking in the North Carolina mountains.

Edward C. Haight, Ph.D., PE, founded the predecessor firm of Edward C. Haight, Ph.D., PE, P.C. in 1993, and is currently a co-principal in Haight Davis & Associates, Inc. His specialties include structural failure analysis, specifying repairs of defective buildings, water leakage of buildings, litigation support in construction disputes and personal injury claims. He also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in construction disputes.

Ed was born in New Orleans on August 25, 1941, and graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1963 and a Masters Degree in Engineering Mechanics in 1965. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Mechanics from Georgia Tech in 1969. Prior to practicing engineering full time, he owned residential and commercial building and development companies for 17 years. In his engineering capacity, he has testified in over 200 construction related disputes. Ed is currently a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

For fun, Ed tends his wine grape vineyard and bee hives in western North Carolina and builds furniture and other woodworking projects when the sun is not shining.
